Detailed Itinerary
Day 1, Arrival in the Capital
Activity: Arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC). VIP meet and greet. Transfer to your luxury hotel. Evening leisure time to adjust to the local pace.
Day 2, The Mughal & Colonial History of Dhaka
Morning: Visit Lalbagh Fort (17th Century Mughal complex) and the Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace), the former residence of the Nawabs. Afternoon: Experience a chaotic yet charming rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of Old Dhaka. Visit the Star Mosque (Tara Masjid) and the Armenian Church. Evening: Sunset boat ride on the Buriganga River to witness the riverine life of the city.
Day 3, The Ancient North – Mahasthangarh
Morning: Short domestic flight to Saidpur (1 hr). Afternoon: Drive to Bogra. Visit Mahasthangarh, the oldest known city in Bangladesh (3rd century BC). Explore the citadel ruins and the museum.
Day 4, UNESCO Heritage – Paharpur
Morning: Drive to Paharpur to see the Somapura Mahavihara, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest Buddhist monasteries south of the Himalayas (8th century). Afternoon: Drive to Rajshahi, the city of silk. Evening: Sunset walk by the Padma River.
Day 5, Temple City & The Southward Journey
